Contract Senior Event Designer + Creative Lead
BeEvents creates remarkable, emotionally engaging experiences. We are seeking a contract Senior Event Designer + Creative Lead to help us bring unforgettable events to life.
About the Role
You are a strategic thinker and hands-on designer, excited by both big ideas and detailed execution. You’ll lead client discovery, craft event narratives, design guest experiences and collaborate with producers, vendors, and creative partners to bring events from concept to reality.
You’ll work across a variety of formats—from galas and fundraisers to corporate events, expos, and activations—designing environments, engagements, content and collateral that captivates guests and tells a compelling story.
We’re looking for someone who loves storytelling through space, visuals, and guest journeys—and who thrives working under pressure while maintaining positivity and presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creative strategy, concept development, and client pitches
- Translate ideas into functional event plans, layouts, and blueprints
- Design immersive environments, scenic builds, activations, and guest experiences
- Create event narratives that connect emotionally with diverse audiences
- Ensure brand standards, safety, inclusivity, and sustainability goals
- Collaborate closely with producers, vendors, and design teams
- Provide art direction through pre-production, installation, and onsite execution
- Prepare event recap decks and archive creative assets post-event
- Develop shot lists for event photography, video capture
- Work with Marketing on case studies
Qualifications
- Degree in design, production, marketing, or related field
- 5+ years in event design, live experiences, or related industries
- Client-facing experience leading creative projects
- Skilled in pitch deck creation, copywriting and presentation delivery
- Strong visualization skills (2D/3D renderings, sketches)
- Proficient in Keynote, Adobe Creative Suits, Microsoft Office, G Suite
- Bonus: Floorplan generation/AutoCAD skills
